This webinar brings together mental health professionals, educators, students, caregivers, and community members from Nepal and Sri Lanka to discuss suicide prevention, reduce stigma, and share culturally sensitive strategies.
About Our Speakers:
Dr. Kishor Adhikari is a behavioral scientist and public health academic from Nepal, serving as Campus Chief at the Institute of Crisis Management Studies and Visiting Professor at O.P. Jindal Global University. With over 17 years of experience, he specializes in suicide prevention, youth empowerment, and positive psychology. He has received prestigious awards including the Nepal Bidhya Bhushan Padak.
Mr. Nivendra Uduman is a counseling psychologist and mental health advocate from Sri Lanka. He founded the “Footsteps to Freedom” initiative, which engaged communities nationwide in mental health awareness and suicide prevention. He currently leads Still Waters Counseling and Psychotherapy, providing client-centered care and advancing mental health advocacy.
